They are just expected to submit paperwork for approval and get those modifications made in-house, meaning in the respective departments within the reaper offices. Hey… if these are knock-offs, any chance they don’t cost the reapers as much as the genuine ones? Still expensive, though.Īll that said, I’m not so sure they have to pay for modifications to their death scythes or glasses. Instead of stolen items, more like stollen ideas. Where do the items come from? I’m still not sure, but they are probably copies made from designs that have been seen in the future. Ludger’s watch is an even wilder anachronism, since neither of those models became available in our reality until after 2000… more like 2010 or so. Ronald’s Cartier model is from the 1960’s. Well, it changed from being worth about $300k to being worth “only” about $100k, so he is still paid quite well! And she doesn’t explain, but I figure products available in the reaper realm are at least 50 years ahead of their time in the human realm, too. She said that, upon further consideration, there’s no way Ludger’s earnings could afford him their top-of-the-line model. Lange & Söhne’s most expensive watch model to a less expensive one. And we know they get paid because of a tweet from Yana-san in which she said that Ludger’s watch design was changed from A. Of course, that was before I found out they got paid. I used to think that they either made copies of future technology or somehow stole from the future. They have some access to knowledge of the future it seems to range about 50 years ahead (maybe even further). Their custom glasses and death scythes are made “in-house” in specific departments, but what about these other goods? And most of these accessories they have are way ahead of time. They even seem to have a thing for worldly goods, like brand name watches, shoes, luggage, hats, and agendas/day-planners… as well as services like hair cuts and manicures. I find it odd how much like the living world their realm must be. And they are apparently not simply provided these things, like room and board, by the powers that be. I used to think that perhaps the reapers didn’t make earnings, but they do need to eat and sleep, so they need food and a place to stay. black butler undertaker reapers grim reapers age cedric k ros- cedric of rotherwood ivanhoe robin hood death scythe france london anon ask i answer answered asks tw suicide And I’m not entirely sure he ever worked for the London branch…. I’ve also blogged before that he could have come from France, originally, but I’m not sure. So, idk □… maybe 600-800 years? If his choice of death scythe is any indication, placing his death around AD1200 also makes sense. We don’t know the process for going from suicide to being a reaper actively collecting souls, or how much time passes between them. If he died around AD1200, then he’s been a reaper for not quite 700yrs. I mean already **collecting souls** around that time. Ros-, and if William in s1 is right about Undertaker collecting the soul of Robin Hood, then he really could be from about AD1200 *or earlier*. I’d say he’s *possibly* as old as 800, based on the Cedric of Rotherwood (from “Ivanhoe”, set in AD1194) parallels I see. There are a lot of unknowns here, so I can only make guesses. ![]()
